The game
Riventale is a world of blocks: every block can be mined and placed, and the land runs on in every direction. You wake in the middle lands with nothing, build a shelter before the first night, craft your way from wood to iron to the deep ores, and explore caverns, ruins and the Firstfolk Wastes. In their temples wait the four Keepers, the chained elements of a broken Crystal; the Torn Pages in the ruins tell how the world was riven.
Play alone in your own worlds, open one to friends, or walk The Riven Lands with everyone online. Round modes such as Emberhold and Forgebreak set teams against each other for a Homefire. It runs in any modern browser with WebGL, on a computer, a tablet or a phone, with nothing to install. Where to begin: how to play; every guide: the guides.
How it is paid for
Riventale is free to play. It is paid for by a short video ad now and then at a break, as a world loads or after you leave one, never during play, and by optional character looks in the shop.
- Never pay to win. A look changes only how your character looks: no gameplay power, no faster progress, no random items.
- Many looks are earned, never sold: a Keeper's Mark and aura for each Keeper beaten, the Riven Circlet, the Kinlight for bringing a friend.
- Buying needs an account; playing does not. The terms and the refund policy cover purchases.
Safety and privacy
Online worlds have rules, a way to report a player, and moderators who can mute, kick and ban. Your own worlds have no chat unless you invite friends. What the game collects, and why: the privacy page.
